Blackened Snapper Recipe

IDEAL PROTEIN PHASE 1 2 & 3 | SERVING: SINGLE [1 PERSON] | COOK TIME: 15 MIN

Ingredients:

6-8oz red snapper fillet

1 tsp olive oil

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp mustard powder

1/4 tsp thyme, ground

1/4 tsp chili powder

sea salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Combine onion powder, garlic powder, dry mustard, ground thyme, pepper and chili powder in a bowl. Cover one side of each fillet with half of this mixture. Coat a large cast-iron skillet with cooking spray and place over medium-high heat until hot. Add fillet, seasoned side down and cook 4 minutes. Sprinkle fillet with remaining spices. Turn over and cook 3 minutes.

Serve with some roasted cauliflower, or some steamed spinach with salt, or a side of asparagus. Enjoy!
