IDEAL PROTEIN PHASE 1 | SERVINGS: 1 | TOTAL TIME: 35 MIN

We love this beef and broccoli-inspired Ideal Protein recipe. This carb-free main course is delicious and filling, for a little extra flavour, marinate the steak overnight.

Ingredients:

  • 1 portion flank steak
  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • ½ tsp avocado oil
    Vegetables:
  • ½ tsp avocado oil
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and cut in half
  • 2 ½ cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snow peas, tipped ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sesame oil plus 1 tbsp water

Instructions:

  1. Place flank steak, tamari and avocado oil in a bowl and mix around to coat. You can optionally add this to a plastic bag and marinate for 1 hr to overnight.
  2. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Sear flank steak on both sides until golden brown, about 2-4 minutes per side. Continue cooking until the internal temperature of the desired doneness is reached (125F -rare, 140F – medium rare, and 145F – medium.).
  3. Set aside onto a cutting board and tent with aluminium foil for 5-10 minutes to rest the meat.
  4. Meanwhile, wipe the skillet with a paper towel, reheat over high heat and add avocado oil for the vegetables. Swirl to coat the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Sautee garlic for 30 seconds. Add broccoli, snow peas and salt. Toss to combine. Cook until broccoli turns bright green, about 3 minutes.
  6. Drizzle on sesame oil and water and cook for one more minute. Slice flank steak across the grain and serve on top of vegetables

Enjoy!

You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone

What you eat shapes how you feel every day, more than most people realize. We see it constantly: clients start to feel the shift within days, not because it’s magic, but because their body finally gets what it’s been missing.

Changing how you eat can feel like a lot. Too many options, too much conflicting advice, not enough clarity on what actually works for you. That’s what a coach is for. Someone who knows the protocol, gets to know you, and helps you build something that fits your real life, not a generic plan.
