On a fall night, nothing beats a great soup. Comforting and delicious, this gourmet mushroom soup recipe from coach Beverly is a must-try, especially for those following the Ideal Protein protocol or trying to lose weight.
Ingredients:
Ideal Protein Mushroom Soup Mix ( 1 package)
2 stalks celery, about 1 cup chopped
1 cup portabello mushroom, chopped
1/8 cup chopped green onions
Olive oil
Sage
Sea salt and pepper
Instructions:
Saute celery, mushrooms and garlic in 2 tsp olive oil until celery softens.
In a separate bowl whisk the Ideal Protein Mushroom soup with water according to the package.
Add soup mix to the celery, mushroom mixture.
Add sage, pepper and salt to taste. Heat on low until hot.
Do not boil or over heat. Pour into a soup bowl and sprinkle with green onions.
